Hearing Aid in Kodungaiyur, Chennai: Mohammed Farook’s First-Time Journey

When hearing aids are completely new to someone, knowing where to begin can feel unfamiliar. For Mohammed Farook, 86, this was his first experience with a hearing aid, and he had no prior idea about which type of device would suit his hearing needs.

Rather than having to navigate the process on his own, Mohammed received professional hearing care through an Insono hearing aid home visit. Mr. Noel John visited him at home and began by understanding his hearing requirements and explaining the basics of hearing-aid options.

As a first-time user, the consultation involved more than selecting a device. It was also an opportunity to understand how hearing aids work, what the fitting process involves and which factors should be considered when choosing a suitable hearing solution.

Following the consultation, Mohammed was fitted with the Signia Kit Motion C&G 1IX Power BTE. The Motion Charge&Go IX family combines a behind-the-ear design with rechargeable functionality and Bluetooth connectivity, while Signia's Integrated Xperience technology is designed to support conversations across different listening environments.

For a first-time user, understanding how to use and handle a hearing aid is an important part of the fitting process. Mr. Noel John guided Mohammed through the device and its everyday handling, helping introduce the hearing aid as part of his ongoing hearing-care routine.

The home visit also made the process more accessible. Instead of travelling to a clinic, Mohammed could receive professional consultation and hearing aid fitting in a familiar home environment. This approach can be particularly useful for older adults who may find travelling to a hearing centre less convenient.

For families searching for a hearing aid in Kodungaiyur, Chennai, professional guidance can be especially valuable when an older family member is using a hearing aid for the first time. Understanding the person's hearing requirements, discussing suitable options and ensuring proper fitting are all important parts of starting the journey.

At Insono Hearing Solutions, hearing care is centred on the individual rather than simply recommending a device. From the initial consultation to hearing aid selection, fitting and guidance, each step is approached according to the user's requirements.

Mohammed Farook's experience shows that being a first-time hearing-aid user does not mean having to navigate the process alone. With professional guidance from an audiologist and the convenience of a home visit, his first step into hearing technology began from the comfort of home.
